LASU’s law students clinch victory in national competition, triumphing over 52 other universities

Lagos State University’s law students have secured the top spot in the National Inter Faculty Competition.

Organized by Redeemers University in Osun State, the event drew participants from universities nationwide.

Themed ‘The Legal and Ethical Implication of Emerging Technology,’ the competition encompassed essay writing, asynchronous debate, memorial writing, and mooting stages.

Kodjovi Daniel represented LASU in the essay writing segment, while Aina Ayomide and Abdulquadri Ajeniya took the helm in the debate stage. Bolajoko Animasaun and Akinrinde Fredrick represented LASU in the final rounds.

Commenting on the victory, Akinwunmi David, President of the Student Advocate Association at LASU, commended the students’ hard work and brilliance, highlighting their intellectual prowess.

LASU also emerged triumphant in the southwest inter-tertiary debate organized by the National Association of Nigerian Students, titled ‘Clash of Thoughts.’

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State announced a reward of N10 million for Aminat Yusuf, LASU’s overall best-graduating student of the 2021/2022 academic session, recognizing her outstanding achievement of a Cumulative Grade Point Average of 5.0 from the Faculty of Law.
