Polaris Bank has been awarded the title of ‘Best in MSME Lending’ at the inaugural MSME Finance Awards 2024, organized by Nairametrics and The Economic Forum. The ceremony took place at the Civic Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos, where the bank was recognized for its dedication to supporting Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) through various funding channels. Expert judges praised Polaris Bank for its efforts in providing accessible finance to foster the growth of these vital sectors of Nigeria’s economy.

According to the International Labour Organisation, the MSME sector is essential to Nigeria’s economy, contributing approximately 48% of the country’s GDP and employing about 80% of the workforce.
