The 26-year-old Portuguese international was detained at La Riviera nightclub in the early hours of September 8 after a 58-year-old man accused him of taking his phone. The incident occurred around 5:30 a.m. when the man attempted to take a photo of Nunes in the restroom without his consent. Following the allegations, Nunes was taken to a local police station for questioning, as reported by Dailymail and El Mundo.
Born in Brazil, Matheus Nunes allegedly took the phone in a moment of anger and refused to return it. According to El Mundo, police were called to the scene and arrested him after discovering the phone in his possession.
