Tobi Amusan, the two-time African Games champion and world record holder in the women’s 100m hurdles, is poised for a historic third consecutive title at the Games. Competing at the University of Ghana Sports Complex, Amusan breezed through the heats on Tuesday with a time of 13.03s, solidifying her spot in the final. While her compatriot Stella Ayanleke missed out on podium contention, Faith Osamuyi secured her spot in the final with a second-place finish.
Scheduled for Wednesday, Amusan and Osamuyi will grace the track once more, with Amusan being the favorite to clinch her third title after previous victories in Brazzaville (2015) and Rabat (2019).
