Governor Dauda Lawal Unveils Renovated Maru General Hospital, Enhances Facilities with Advanced Medical Technologies and Solar Power

Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State has reiterated his administration’s dedication to prioritizing crucial projects. His statement came during the inauguration of the newly renovated general hospital in Maru Local Government Area. According to a statement released by the governor’s spokesperson, Sulaiman Idris, Lawal’s administration is actively working on the renovation and modernization of all general hospitals throughout the state.
During his inspection of the upgraded facilities and advanced medical equipment at Maru General Hospital, He emphasized his goal of establishing a state-of-the-art healthcare environment. He stressed the importance of making quality medical services both accessible and affordable for everyone in the state.
Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State highlighted the extensive renovations completed at the General Hospital in Maru during its inauguration. He detailed that the upgrades were aimed at enhancing the hospital’s facilities to provide residents of Maru and surrounding areas with quality healthcare.
The renovation involved modernizing both the physical structure and incorporating advanced medical technologies and systems,” Governor Lawal stated. “This comprehensive approach equips General Hospital Maru to handle a range of medical conditions, from routine check-ups to complex surgeries. The hospital staff are now better prepared to offer care services that meet the highest standards.”
He further emphasized his administration’s commitment to creating a state-of-the-art healthcare environment that ensures accessible and affordable quality medical services for all. In addition to the renovations, the project includes the installation of a 39-kilowatt solar power system to guarantee a reliable electricity supply, which is essential for the uninterrupted operation of medical equipment and patient comfort.
Governor Dauda Lawal also announced the installation of 35 streetlights around the hospital premises to improve security and visibility, ensuring a safer environment for everyone. He expressed hope that the residents of Maru and the wider Zamfara State would make full use of the upgraded facilities. Additionally, Governor Lawal has instructed the Ministry of Health to implement measures for the ongoing maintenance and operation of the hospital.
