Activist VeryDarkMan Fires Back at 30BG Crew Amid Dammy Krane Apology Controversy.
3 min readOn September 9, 2024, Nigerian activist Martins Vincent Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), made headlines with a fiery response directed at Isreal DMW and other members of the 30BG crew. VDM’s latest video sees him vehemently addressing accusations from the 30BG team, who have been blaming him for allegedly begging Nigerian singer Davido to forgive Dammy Krane.
Dammy Krane, who had previously been embroiled in a legal battle with Davido over accusations of unpaid debts and involvement in a contentious incident involving the death of Tagbo, faced significant legal troubles. The situation seemed to resolve after VDM’s intervention, which is believed to have played a role in Dammy Krane’s release.
In a recent development, Dammy Krane took to microblogging platform X (formerly Twitter) to issue a somewhat ambiguous apology to Davido. The post featured a viral video of Davido visibly emotional and on his knees, which many interpreted as a symbolic gesture of reconciliation.
VDM’s new video addresses the situation head-on, critiquing the 30BG crew’s attempts to shift blame onto him and defending his role in facilitating the resolution of the conflict between Dammy Krane and Davido.
On September 9, 2024, Dammy Krane’s apology to Davido has sparked significant controversy, particularly among members of the 30BG crew. The apology, which was delivered through a viral video showing Davido emotionally on his knees, has been criticized by some, including Israel DMW and Morgan DMW, who perceive it as mocking or insincere.
Israel DMW, Davido’s logistics manager, voiced his frustration with the nature of Dammy Krane’s apology. He accused Dammy Krane of not genuinely reconciling with Davido and suggested that the apology came across as disrespectful. In a pointed remark, Israel DMW also placed the blame on activist VeryDarkMan (VDM), alleging that VDM had begged Davido to help facilitate Dammy Krane’s release.
The ongoing tension highlights the strained dynamics between the involved parties and underscores the complex nature of the public apology. VDM’s involvement, as suggested by Israel DMW, has further complicated the situation, drawing ire from 30BG members who feel the resolution process was mishandled.
Morgan DMW, a close associate of Davido, took to social media to express his disdain for VDM’s involvement. He delivered a scathing message to VDM, accusing him of seeking attention and undermining the situation. Morgan DMW’s remarks included:
“VeryDarkMan, you are a werey. Go and check your head in the hospital. Learn to stop putting your mouth in everything. You are always chasing clout and looking for followers. Now you went to do eye service and bail Dammy Krane, and he has now fallen your hand. VDM, try and have sense.”
In response, VDM defended his actions, addressing the criticism from Israel DMW and others. He explained that his intervention in Dammy Krane’s case was motivated by a genuine concern for humanity. VDM expressed disappointment that Dammy Krane had reacted negatively after his release, emphasizing that he could not predict how Krane would behave post-release.
VDM reiterated that his intentions were purely to assist and that he did not foresee the problematic response from Dammy Krane. He stressed that he is not omniscient and could not have anticipated Krane’s taunting behavior toward Davido.
