Nomination of Olakulehin as Next Olubadan Announced by Kingmakers

In a recent development, the Olubadan-In-Council has put forward Oba Owolabi Olakulehin as the nominee for the esteemed position of the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland.
This significant decision follows the vacancy left by the passing of Oba Lekan Balogun on Thursday, March 14, 2024, after a reign of two years, concluding at the age of 81.
The consensus to appoint Oba Olakulehin was reached during a gathering convened by Chief Rashidi Ladoja, the Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland, in the capital city of Oyo State, Ibadan. Oba Gbadamosi Adebimpe, the Osi Balogun of Ibadanland, nominated him for the esteemed position.
The next step in the process involves submitting Oba Olakulehin’s name to the state governor, Seyi Makinde, for final approval.
