The Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has officially announced the launch of NPF Insurance Co. Ltd, a pioneering initiative aimed at enhancing the welfare of police personnel while offering comprehensive insurance services to the general public. Acknowledging the crucial role that police officers play in ensuring national security, Egbetokun emphasized that the initiative would provide essential financial protection and support for officers.

In a statement released on Friday, Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, explained that the new initiative reflects the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to supporting its personnel and fostering public trust in building a safer nation. “This initiative underscores the Force’s dedication to enhancing the welfare of its personnel, who face daily risks in their duty to protect citizens and maintain law and order,” the statement read.

NPF Insurance Co. Ltd aims not only to serve the needs of police officers but also to offer tailored insurance products to the general public. Through these services, the company intends to strengthen national security and provide reliable financial solutions across Nigeria.

The official unveiling of the insurance company will take place on Monday, December 23, 2024, at the Goodluck Ebele Jonathan Peacekeeping Hall, Force Headquarters, Abuja, at 11:00 a.m. The event will be graced by notable dignitaries, including the Honourable Minister of Police Affairs, Senator Ibrahim Gaidam, who will serve as the Special Guest of Honour.
