The Minister of Education, Prof. Tahir Mamman, announced that his phone line has been hacked, as stated in a disclaimer on his official X account on Thursday.
In his post, Mamman urged the public to avoid using the compromised number for communication. “My phone line has been compromised. Please refrain from calling the number and ignore any messages requesting assistance until the issue is resolved. Thank you for your understanding,” he wrote on X.com.

In a statement released on Friday by the Director of Press and Public Relations, Boriowo Folasade, the Ministry of Education confirmed that Minister Prof. Tahir Mamman’s WhatsApp number has been hacked and is now in use by unauthorized individuals. The statement informed the public about the breach, urging caution.
The Ministry expressed its regret over any inconvenience caused by the breach and urged the public to disregard any requests received from the compromised number until further notice.
“The matter has been reported to the relevant authorities and is currently under investigation. We advise everyone to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity,” the statement added.
