NSCDC Deploys 1,850 Personnel to Ensure Secure Yuletide Celebration in Kogi State

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has deployed 1,850 personnel to ensure a smooth and secure Yuletide celebration in Kogi State. This deployment, as announced in a statement by the Command Public Relations Officer, Abdullahi Aliyu, includes officers from various specialized units, such as the Operations Department, Special Rapid Response, Agro Rangers, Female Squad Intelligence, and the Critical National Assets Infrastructure departments.

Esther Akinlade, the Kogi State Commandant of NSCDC, emphasized the agency’s commitment to maintaining a crime-free environment throughout the festive season, in collaboration with other security agencies. She noted the importance of safeguarding Kogi, given its strategic location bordering nine states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Commandant Akinlade also urged the youth to refrain from engaging in unlawful activities that could disturb public order, warning that anyone caught would face legal consequences. She further called on the public to celebrate responsibly and to report any credible information related to criminal activities or hideouts to the authorities, contributing to the ongoing peace in the state.
