Kano Police Commissioner Distributes N83 Million in Cheques to Support Families of Fallen and Injured Officers

In a move to support the families of police officers who have been injured or lost their lives in the line of duty, Kano State Commissioner of Police, Salman Garba, announced the distribution of cheques totaling N83,102,207.38 to 45 beneficiaries.
The information was shared by SP Abdullahi Haruna, the Command’s spokesperson, who emphasized that this initiative reflects the Inspector-General of Police’s commitment to the welfare of police personnel and their families. Haruna stated, “This presentation of cheques is a transparent demonstration of our dedication to supporting our officers and their immediate family members.”
The beneficiaries of the financial aid include the next of kin of deceased police officers and those who have been injured in accidents.
In a show of gratitude, the recipients celebrated and expressed their appreciation to the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), promising to use the funds wisely, especially as they arrived at a critical time.
One beneficiary remarked, “The IGP’s welfare scheme exemplifies the police force’s commitment to its personnel and their families. This initiative has positively impacted numerous families nationwide, showcasing the force’s dedication to supporting those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.”
