NDLEA Secures Convictions of 22 Drug Dealers in July

The Kano State Command of the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) announced on Thursday that it successfully secured the conviction of 22 drug dealers in July 2024.
Commander Abubakar Idris-Ahmad confirmed this achievement to the press, emphasis its significance in the ongoing battle against illicit drug trafficking and abuse.
Among the convicted individuals was Abubakar Mu’azu, who was involved in an altercation resulting in the stabbing of an NDLEA officer during his arrest. Mu’azu was subsequently charged and sentenced to three years in a correctional center. The remaining 21 convicts received varying prison terms as well.
This development underscores the NDLEA’s commitment to enforcing drug laws and maintaining public safety in Kano State.
