Nigerians Generously Donate Over N4.2M to Quadruplets’ Family, Providing 105 Diapers in Just Six Days”

Nigerians have donated more than N4.2 million to support the family of Sodiq Olayode, whose wife Abiodun recently welcomed a set of quadruplets.
On Wednesday, James, known as #jamysax on X.com, tweeted about his colleague Sodiq Olayode. James had previously mentioned on Tuesday, “Fun fact: A colleague of mine with two kids decided to go for one more. Guess what his wife gave birth to? Four at once (quadruplets). The man was in disbelief, always lamenting about their situation every day.”
The post read, “105 diapers in 6 days. Haaa, mo gbe mo daran. E shanu mi eyin quadruplet yi.”
James’ post on X.com captured the attention of netizens, who discussed the challenges involved in raising young children, especially quadruplets.
By Wednesday, James announced that he had received permission from the couple to share a photo of the parents and their children, along with Sodiq Olayode’s bank account details, for those who had expressed interest.
He wrote, “Yesterday, I reached out to them to seek permission to post their picture along with that of the children, as well as his account details.
“If you’d like to send diapers or any other support, please contact me directly. I’ll ensure it reaches them, with proper accountability.”
Sharing further details, James disclosed that as of 9:42 a.m., Olayode had received N1,598,750 in donations. Additionally, several individuals had volunteered to provide baby items and diapers.
Sharing hourly updates alongside a screenshot, James revealed that as of 10:03 a.m., Olayode had received N2,811,277 in donations.
“At 11:03 a.m., they have received N4,226,769. Both husband and wife are in awe. They are speechless. God is kind,” he added.
On July 7, the Lagos State Government announced that the Lagos State Health Management Agency had recorded its first-ever quadruplets born at Gbagada General Hospital under the State Social Health Insurance Plan, widely known as “Ilera Eko.”
The quadruplets were born to Saka and Abiodun Olayode, who already had a daughter. Dr. Emmanuella Zamba, the Permanent Secretary of LASHMA, mentioned that “LASHMA would ensure that the babies were enrolled in the scheme so that they could enjoy unhindered medical care.”
In an interview with Feelrightnewstv on Facebook, Sodiq Olayode stated that they had been blessed with a daughter before the quadruplets (two boys and two girls) arrived. He added that the quadruplets were born prematurely at eight months due to the pregnancy becoming “life-threatening.”
The couple also appealed for government assistance to support in raising their children.
In an earlier instance in January, Deborah Olaki (also known as Mummy Zee on X.com) became a millionaire in less than 48 hours after a post detailing her routine of waking up as early as 4:50 am to prepare her husband’s lunch.
