Tinubu Assures Youth: Addressing Hardships, No Need for Protests

President Bola Tinubu appeals to Nigerians, particularly the youth who are organizing a national protest due to the high cost of living, to cancel or postpone their planned protest. He is suggesting that protesting is unnecessary or unwarranted.
The President Bola has acknowledged the grievances of those planning a national protest and reassured them that he is committed to addressing their concerns. The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, communicated this message to the press after meeting with Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The Minister stated that during the meeting with the President, they discussed various national issues, and the President affirmed his commitment to diligently improving the country’s economy.
He stated, “We discussed national issues, and Mr. President has instructed me to reiterate to Nigerians that he hears them, particularly the young people planning to protest.”
The President emphasized that he listens attentively to their concerns and takes them seriously, committing himself to diligently working towards ensuring a better future for the country, not just for the present but also for future generations.
Regarding the planned protest, the President sees no necessity for it and urged them to suspend their plans, assuring them that the government will respond comprehensively to their appeals, having carefully listened to their grievances.
