Veteran singer Mike Ejeagha cries profusely as his song Gwo Gwo Gwo Ngwo from 41 years ago goes viral

Renowned Nigerian musician Mike Ejeagha was deeply moved when his 1983 highlife hit, “Ka Esi Le Onye Isi Oche,” unexpectedly surged back into the spotlight.

The song, largely forgotten for over four decades, experienced a revival after skit maker Brain Jotter featured it in a video, sparking a viral dance challenge that quickly spread across Nigeria.

In heartfelt tributes to Ejeagha, content creators honored the veteran singer. In one poignant moment captured on video, Ejeagha was visibly touched as he received an envelope containing money and learned of his song’s newfound popularity.

Expressing his gratitude, Ejeagha offered prayers and heartfelt appreciation for the recognition.

The initiative to locate Ejeagha began when Brain Jotter set out to find him to present a gift of N2 million. Tunde Ednut later shared a video of the track and revealed Brain Jotter’s intention to donate the sum to Ejeagha.

Sharing their conversation, Tunde Ednut urged the public to contact Brain Jotter via direct message with any information regarding Mike Ejeagha.
